Lincoln Home National Historic Site

On my way home from St. Louis, I decided to swing by Springfield, Illinois to visit the Lincoln Home National Historic Site.

The Cook House is a two-story wood frame Greek Revival home that has clapboard siding, cornerboards, gables, a dormer, a side porch and a hip roof.

At one point the trail disappears onto an exposed stretch of granite. I continue to walk for few minutes across the rock and come to the other side. The giant slab ends at a steep drop-off.

After Tracy Arm Fjoryd, our next stop on our cruise was Juneau. While in Juneau, where took a helicopter tour to Mendenhall Glacier.
