Missouri Botanical Garden
A few days ago, I decided I need a weekend away. The dismal Chicago weather was getting to me as to so often does these days. So I headed south to St. Louis and by Saturday morning found myself at the Missouri Botanical Garden.
- Tide Watching in St. Ives
- Each year for the past five years, we’ve journeyed to the ends of Britain in search of a bit of peace and quiet. Sometimes in late fall, sometimes in early spring we make our odyssey.
- Southwest Coast Path
- This morning, the penetrating chill subsides. Warm breezes and soft birdsong take its place. The mildness in the air coaxes us to explore. We walk along the road, down the hill towards Bosigran Farm, and turn onto a footpath that leads to the coast.
- Lyons Woods
- In Lake County, the socio-economic status of a town is written all over its roads. The wealthy areas are blessed with roads as smooth as silk. The poorer areas are riddled with roads of rubble.
