- Geevor Tin Mine
- At one point the trail disappears onto an exposed stretch of granite. I continue to walk for few minutes across the rock and come to the other side. The giant slab ends at a steep drop-off. The slope below is thick with trees.
- More Spring
- Just thought I’d share a few more pictures of spring, that lovely several weeks that happens across the globe in places that are not Chicago.
- A Real Spring
- It’s the Ides of March which means it’s the dead of winter back in Chicago and I’m giddy that I’m not there to (ahem) enjoy it. Instead, I’m here in Milton Keynes where March is fragrant and mild.

- Just ten short days ago I thought autumn would last until March and that (further deluding myself) a mild-tempered March would give way to a sudden burst of vernal warmth.

- Ryerson Woods is among my favorite places to go for a walkâeven in January. And considering how horrible January can be in Chicagoland, that says a lot.
